Longton Carnival & Pig Walk Parade only happens with the vital support of an amazing team of volunteer makers, stewards and performers. Stay tuned for information about how to get involved in next year’s event on Sunday 26th April 2026!

Longton Carnival & Pig Walk Parade brings fun, colour, music and entertainment to Longton town centre on Sunday 6 April 2025 and we need YOUR help. We need a team of enthusiastic volunteers to help make the event a huge success and make it memorable day for thousands of people.

On the day volunteer roles will include parade stewards, support for performances, artists and workshops. We’ll provide:

• training

• snacks and brews

• lunch

• a unique Pig Walk 2025 T-shirt!

Please register here for a volunteer training session on Saturday 29 March, 10am - 12noon where we’ll provide all the information for volunteering on the day of Carnival.
