Longton Carnival & Pig Walk Parade only happens with the vital support of an amazing team of volunteer makers, stewards and performers. We really couldn’t do this without you!

Longton Carnival & Pig Walk Parade will bring fun, colour, music and entertainment to Longton town centre on Sunday 26th April 2026 and we need YOUR help.

We need a team of enthusiastic volunteers to help make the event a huge success and make it memorable day for thousands of people. There are two types of volunteer roles - Event Stewards and Parade Performers.

Event stewards

Being an event steward will involve parade stewarding, support for performances, artists and workshops. We’ll provide:

• training

• snacks and brews

• a unique Pig Walk 2026 T-shirt!

Event stewards will be need to attend the volunteering training on Saturday 18th April 2026, 10am - 12pm. Please click the link below to register.

Parade Performers

Join our team of volunteer performers and be part of the unforgettable Pig Walk Parade! Wear a fabulous costume and have fun entertaining the crowds!
